Can a configurator work with my exact pricing rules?+
Yes, that's the whole point of custom. I've built price engines with per-centimeter pricing, stepped price tables imported from CSV, VAT toggles and per-store overrides. If you can explain the rule, I can code it.
How does a custom product end up in the Shopify cart?+
Depending on the setup, the configurator either creates a product/variant on the fly via the Admin API or attaches the configuration as line item properties. Both check out like any normal Shopify order, so your fulfillment flow keeps working.
Do I need Shopify Plus for a configurator?+
No. Everything above runs on standard Shopify plans. Plus only becomes relevant for checkout-level customization.
