The developer you'll actually be talking to
I'm Mike Hendriks: the M in MX Development, and also the X, and also the entire development team. That's the point: when you hire MX Development, you get a senior developer who hears your problem firsthand and writes the code personally. Nothing gets lost in translation because there is no translation.
I've been building for the web for over a decade. I started with hand-built webshops before Shopify was the obvious choice, which means I've personally maintained the kind of legacy systems your integration probably needs to talk to. For the last years I've been all-in on the Shopify ecosystem: themes, private apps, Functions, checkout extensions, headless builds and everything in between. Over 50 e-commerce projects have shipped through my hands.
A large share of my work comes through e-commerce agencies who use me as their white-label Shopify developer. Another 35 projects ran through Upwork, nearly all of them with five-star reviews. The rest is direct: stores that grew past their theme and need someone who can untangle, automate and extend without breaking what works. I do all of it fully remote from the Westland in Zuid-Holland — between Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague — for clients across the Netherlands and well beyond.
What clients tend to say after a project: communication was easy, the estimate held, and the code came with documentation. If that sounds like a low bar, you haven't hired many freelancers.

How I work
Honest scoping
If an app-store app solves it for €29/month, I'll tell you to install the app. Custom development is for problems apps can't solve.
Ship, then polish
Working software early, feedback loops short. You see progress instead of hearing about it.
Documentation included
Every project ends with a handover doc. Your next developer (or future me) starts from knowledge, not archaeology.
Direct, always
You get my honest read on feasibility, risk and cost. Even when it's not what sells.
Tools of the trade
Tell me what you're stuck on.
A 30-minute intro call is free, honest and concrete: you'll leave knowing whether it can be built, roughly what it takes, and whether I'm the right person. No pitch deck, no pressure.
