Custom cart & PDP that survive app updates, documentation included
For a fresh food delivery store: a custom two-column cart with free-shipping progress, a delivery-widget override that survives the app's own re-renders, and a metafield-driven PDP, all delivered with full handover documentation.

The challenge
Cold-chain delivery needs a postcode/delivery app whose UI clashed with the brand, and whose embed re-renders wiped any styling. The cart needed rebuilding without breaking the theme's AJAX re-render contract. And the client wanted every customization documented.
What I built
- ✓Custom two-column cart replacing the stock cart: free-shipping bar, discount accordion, delivery note and USP row, wired into the theme's existing AJAX re-render targets
- ✓MutationObserver-based override that restyles the delivery app's embed every time it re-injects itself, with a CSS escape hatch that restores native UI if the merchant adds delivery methods
- ✓Metafield/metaobject-driven PDP blocks: USPs, linked variants, delivery info, recipe content
- ✓A handover document describing every customization and its update-safety

- →Brand-consistent delivery UX on top of a third-party app, stable across app updates
- →Any future developer can pick up the theme from the documentation alone
